About Me
Hello! I'm Athithyaa Panchapakesan Rajeswari, a passionate Data Engineer who thrives on turning complex data challenges into elegant, scalable solutions. With a Master's in Computer Science from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and over 8 years of experience at industry leaders like Fanatics and Oracle, I've built a career around innovation, mentorship, and driving business growth through data.
My expertise spans Java development, Big Data technologies (Kafka, Spark, Flink), cloud platforms (AWS), and real-time streaming architectures. But beyond the technical skills, I'm driven by a vision: to lead teams in creating data engineering solutions that empower companies to make smarter, faster decisions.
When I'm not architecting data pipelines or mentoring the next generation of engineers, you'll find me exploring new technologies, contributing to open-source projects, or sharing insights through technical writing. I believe in continuous learning and the power of collaboration to solve the world's most pressing data challenges.
My Journey
My fascination with technology began early. Growing up in a world increasingly defined by data and connectivity, I was drawn to the magic of how code could solve real-world problems. This curiosity led me to pursue an Integrated Master of Science and Technology in Theoretical Computer Science at PSG College of Technology in India, where I built a strong foundation in algorithms, programming, and computational theory.
My professional journey ignited at SecureW2 India Pvt. Ltd., where I dove into software development, designing features for client device onboarding and authentication. It was here that I discovered my love for data – the way it flows, transforms, and unlocks insights. This passion propelled me across the globe to the University of Colorado, Boulder, for my Master's degree, where I immersed myself in advanced data engineering concepts and cutting-edge technologies.
At Oracle America Inc., I tackled high-volume data stream processing and backend optimizations, reducing request times by 33% and gaining invaluable experience in enterprise-scale systems. Then at Fanatics Inc., I evolved from Senior Data Engineer to Staff Data Engineer, leading migrations to real-time pipelines, managing Kafka clusters, and implementing data quality frameworks that slashed bugs by 50%. Throughout, I've mentored junior engineers, fostering a culture of growth and innovation.
Today, I'm excited to continue this journey, seeking opportunities to lead data engineering initiatives that drive meaningful impact. Whether it's optimizing pipelines for performance or mentoring teams to reach their potential, I'm committed to pushing the boundaries of what's possible with data.
